Eating Like Our Ancestors

Let’s go way back in time to comprehend our natural ancestral diet and eating schedule and the energy we needed to hunt and gather our daily food. We are like every living thing in that we must hunt and gather our daily food on fasting energy. Evolution has provided the ability to mobilize and metabolize stored fat when we need it to produce enough energy -even after 20 hours since our last meal. So in looking at our Ancestral lifestyle, we woke up with no food because left overs attracted predators at night hunting for our food and us too. So our food was always a daily challenge to acquire and gorge on and only after we discovered fire did we begin making hot herbal stimulant drinks or light vegetable greens in bone broth soup to settle our stomach juices. The digested vegetable fiber gave us some hydrogen and a burst of Autophagy energy. Hydrogen not only stimulates Autophagy but also regulates it because too much Autophagy is not a good thing either. You only learn to appreciate Autophagy energy when fasting or taking supplemental hydrogen.

Eventually we added berries to our breakfast to get more Hydrogen from digesting the fruit fiber and harvested eggs from nests to drop in our morning soup, which is still very common in an Asian noodle, egg, vegetable soup breakfast. We used these small snack size meals and our stored fat to insure our very survival to get us to our daily main meal, which most of the time was well into the late afternoon. We learned that plants are most nutritious when harvested early morning before wilting in the midday heat so all of our plant harvesting was done early and before the hunt. Our hunt could take all day as we tracked the animal to exhaustion or cornering into a trap. At some point we overrode hunger by combining adrenalin and autophagy energy with dogged determination to get our nutrient dense protein. Failure was not an option as our tribe depended on us.

After gorging we relaxed in the shade to avoid the heat of the day and did chores of home repairs, cured skins, made tools and socialized much like the remaining uncontacted tribes in the Amazon today. So historically Breakfast was not the most important meal of the day like the media commercials want you to believe. In fact we don’t need 3 meals a day plus snacks unless we stuff ourselves with low nutrient dense empty calorie food. If we get enough vegetable fiber and meat protein in equal amounts and a small amount of carbohydrates to complement, then we should not feel any more hunger until we wake up the next day.

It is safe to say that our energy must come from fasting and not food and that we actually lose energy to digest our big meal of the day. Fasting also makes us lose our appetite so we can focus on the hunt in an adrenaline fueled state. Every living thing uses fasting and hydrogen gas from digesting fruit and vegetable fiber to stimulate Autophagy. Autophagy keeps our cells clean by eliminating a protein waste our cells emit to keep the cell detoxing. Autophagy also keeps the organelles orderly to sustain the maximum electrical conductivity that is our very life force energy that Asians call “Chi”. After all our cells are nothing but batteries of vibrating photons of light and the cell plasma medium creates a battery of harmonic frequency in sync with the universe around. Our health is simply an expression of our harmonic frequency. Hydrogen supports this frequency by regulating it in the NRF2 Pathway. Science explains this as cell signaling modulation or Gene expression but esoterically we can understand it as our lifeforce energy.

In the next chapter we will learn that breakfast was nothing more than a marketing campaign to change traditional habits. Join the conversation and comment below.
